are UK TAPES ?
UK TAPES LTD is a small, friendly producer of safety
tapes, mesh and associated items based in Braintree,
Essex (UK).
What
experience do you have ?
Within our staff we have two of the world's leading
authorities on barrier & warning tapes. In fact, Darren Lens (our
production director) has been involved in the
manufacture of warning tapes since he was seventeen.
Why
should I buy from you ?
We're
a nice company to do business with.
We
always try to satisfy the customer, whether they are
buying one roll or ten thousand rolls of tape.
Why
are the prices so good ?
Some
of the prices certainly are fantastic. For
instance, an industrial supplier with a wide circulating
catalogue sells the exact same Fencing Mesh for £
118.00, that you can buy from us for less than £ 30.00.
The
majority of the items are our own production, so you are
making savings by dealing direct.
What
payment methods do you accept ?
You have two
choices when you get to the checkout.
ON-LINE : where
you can pay by card via Paypal or
PHONE ME : where
we will call you to get your card details
If
you would prefer to pay by cheque, then of course this
is OK, although we will have to wait for payment to
clear before the goods are despatched.
How
quickly does the stuff arrive ?
80%
of our orders arrive within 2-3 working days.
10%
arrive in about 1 week (especially some of the adhesive
tapes which we usually cut to size).
For
the remaining 10%,
we might be temporarily out of stock. We will
contact you to advise you if there is likely to be a
delay of more than one week.
Is
there any restrictions against me re-selling your
products ?
We would be
pleased to include you in our list of distributors.
There are no restrictions on who or where you can resell
our goods.
A distributor can
benefit from credit terms (for approved accounts) and
bulk quantity prices - contact our sales team for
further information.
Where
are you based ?
In sunny Braintree in Essex. It's about a one hour
drive from London, a couple of hours from Dover.

can’t find the product that I need on your website.
Can you help ?
This
particular website only features our most popular
items. You can always check out our main company

Can
you print tapes with our own design ?
Sure
can. Whether it is adhesive or non-adhesive, we
can easily print a tape with a design or wording to your
requirements.
I
need it quickly, can you deliver by 10.00am tomorrow ?
If
we have it in stock, then it might well be
possible. For non standard deliveries, your best
bet is to call one of our sales team. We can offer
a range of services including next day AM, next day
before 10.00am and next day before 9.00am. Obviously
there is a surcharge for these services.
Can
you track my order ?
Our
tracking system only allows us to tell you what day the
delivery will be made. We cannot advise whether it
will be morning or afternoon.
Can
I collect my order ?
You
sure can and of course, there will be no delivery
charge. You will however need to phone the order
through to us otherwise the delivery charge appears if
you order on-line.
There
won’t be anyone in to accept delivery, can you leave
the goods by the back door ?
No
I'm afraid not. In compliance with our insurance
policy, all goods need to be signed for on delivery.
Do
you deliver to
Northern Ireland
?
No problem.
Can
you accept orders from outside the UK ?
We
certainly can. In time, we will have €URO and US
$ versions of this site, but at the moment, please call
or email with your orders & enquiries.
It's
Friday afternoon and I desperately need some stuff
tomorrow. Can you deliver on a Saturday ?
Give
us a call. If we have it in stock and as long as
there is time to pack it before the lorries leave, then
it should be possible. Obviously there is a
surcharge for Saturday deliveries.
I’ve
ordered the wrong stuff. Can I send it back ?
All
depends what you ordered. Standard stock items can
be accepted back subject to a 20% re-stocking charge (or
£ 10.00, whichever is greater). Make sure you send them
back to us by an insured method and well packed to
ensure that they arrive in perfect condition.
We
are unable to accept back custom
made items.

When is your office open ?
The
sales office is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm (these
times are by no means strict, so feel free to call
outside of these hours and you might well catch someone.)
